While you can use the iPad’s camera for close-up and self-viewing, the Snow Pad’s full HD camera provides instant focus, crisp images, and a wide field of view for capturing everything you need. Manual controls allow you to adjust the zoom and focus to your preference.

With its portable design, the Snow Pad can be folded up and packed away in seconds, making it perfect for on-the-go use. With a 5-hour battery life, it offers reliable, extended use wherever you need it.

Why doesn’t Snow Pad include a screen/built-in tablet?

Snow Pad aims at saving cost for customers. A majority of low vision individuals use iPads or tablets nowadays. When choosing Snow Pad, they will avoid extra payment on another screen/tablet. Meanwhile, they will optimise the benefit of their personal iPads/tablets.

Does Snow Pad provide battery charging to iPad?

Only in the circumstance of Snow Pad being fully charged and the adapter being plugged in will the iPad/tablet connected with Snow Pad start to be charged. This means the Snow Pad adapter won’t charge the Snow Pad and the iPad/tablet simultaneously. By default, it will first charge the Snow Pad. If you are in a rush, please charge the iPad separately with its own adapter or with a power bank. To make sure both of the Snow Pad and the tablet are fully charged in the morning, it is a good idea to charge them at night before going to the bed.

Can I keep my iPad/tablet on the Snow Pad when I fold it up and pack it into the bag?

Yes, you can.

Is the Snow Pad heavy for on-the-go use?

The Snow Pad is about 2.4kg excluding the iPad/tablet. This makes it lightweight and convenient for on-the-go use.

Does the Snow Pad come with OCR/text-to-speech functionality?

Yes, Snow Pad supports OCR/text-to-speech. There are 20 languages available.

Will the application automatically update from time to time?

No. There is a pop-up that will remind you of updates for your confirmation. You can decide to update it or not.
