Orbit Reader QWERTY is an all-in-one device that integrates a multi-function refreshable Braille display with a QWERTY keyboard for seamless input. The device features signage-quality eight-dot refreshable Braille cells with cursor routing keys, while the full-size 78-key QWERTY keyboard allows users to enjoy the convenience of touch-typing while reading in Braille.
The Orbit Reader QWERTY functions as a standalone reader, notetaker, and braille display, seamlessly connecting to smartphones and computers via Bluetooth or USB. It features productivity tools such as onboard translation to and from braille, clock with alarms, calendar, calculator and audio capabilities. The QWERTY keyboard can also be independently connected to a computer or mobile device.
When used as a standalone reader, the Orbit Reader QWERTY enables the user to read any file from an SD card or USB Flash drive. It supports BRF and BRL formatted books, text files, and various other formats. The reader offers features for easy navigation, inserting and editing bookmarks, browsing through folders, etc.
As a braille display, the Orbit Reader QWERTY can connect to up to six devices simultaneously. It is compatible with all popular screen readers, allowing you to use your favourite apps, send text messages, browse the internet and more.
When used as a notetaker, Orbit Reader QWERTY offers all essential file creation and editing functions. A user can create new files, save them on SD card and edit existing files, including file management features.
The Orbit Reader QWERTY is available in two options: 20 or 40 eight-dot Braille cells.
